  2. Just finished off the last of a bottle of Emperor Norton I had sitting around...
  3. That's the actual label? And I thought it was just the high thujone levels messing with my brain!
  4. Southern Tier PMX, followed by Southern Tier IPA, with their Porter on my mind as a finisher...Gotta love the variety 12-pack!
  5. I've recently had another bottle of this since I first tried it a few years ago, and it seems Fischer may have tweaked it since then...better louche than it had previously, and slightly less one-dimensional. I'm still intrigued by the Montmartre-inspired label; that was one of the first absinthes I ever had, years ago, and I really liked it at the time. I don't know if Mephisto is supposed to be a watered-down version of that, or just a re-used label design. I haven't had Monty in quite a while, but I remember it also having a cinnamon-y quality.
  6. Thanks for sharing! Just further illustrates how esoteric genuine absinthe knowledge can be. And what a benefit it is to have sites like WS to dispel the myths!
  7. A variety of IPAs: Firestone Union Jack, Community Beerworks That IPA, Big Ditch Hayburner.
  8. I enjoyed the original, it was the go-to bottle for my annual trip to the Keys. The new version, not so much. Didn't know they stopped making that one too.
  9. Well, Fergy in his heyday, that is, Abs. (Not the Black-Eyed Peas chanteuse, haha) Moved on to a bit of Emperor Norton.
  10. Actually, poisonous blowhards are morons, Michael Savage...
  11. I think Bills fans would like to have Joe Ferguson back, considering the last decade's dearth of quality QBs... Tonight it's Bell's Two-Hearted ale.
  12. You should make the trip back sometime, you just might not recognize the place... Larkinville, Canalside, Harborcenter, & Riverworks are just some of the good things happening downtown. And of course there's always St Patrick's Day, Allentown Art Festival, Taste of Buffalo, & MusicIsArt... (Sorry if I sound like a Convention & Visitor's Bureau rep)
  13. "Every year is getting shorter, never seem to find the time Plans that either come to naught or half a page of scribbled lines" And it's now time to crack open a Saranac Wild Hop Pils.
  14. Plus lots of twigs and leaves in the bottle, proof of thujone-rich wormwood as an ingredient...
  15. BTW, I haven't been called a kid since, well, I was a kid...Which is a long time ago now! It's a bourbon night for me, drinking Jim Beam Black on the rocks...OTR...
  16. I was hoping to acquire some ADWTD at Premier today, but they don't have it...yet!
