Basic plan of action: Get a glass(wine glass, tumbler, or authentic/replice absinthe; doesn't matter). Get a method of water delivery(fountain, water bottle, turkey baster, doesn't matter). Get a slotted spoon(fork, plastic, ladel, doesn't matter). Get sugar cube(domino, homemade, doesn't matter). If you do not have a sweet tooth, the last two steps don't matter. Look at FAQ to see how to prepare drink. Look at the recommended vendors list and buy some absinthe(verte or blanche, doesn't matter). Which brand to buy? Search or read reviews section. Remember what I like probably doesn't matter. Which are best--any Jades, Duplais, Clandestine, and some others(too lazy to add to list). Buy a couple to make to most of your experience and money. Tell us how it went. Make long silly posts. Brush and floss. Tell someone else new to absinthe what to do.

To add to that, the maker has stated that this was a one time offering. Do not fret however; this absinthe proves that CO's will only continue to get better as the continuing revival of maticulas craftmanship evolves.

I wanted to try the rouge, but I did not want to drink it fast as they recommend. I am curious as to what the color will be after it ages. I did get the L'Artisiane(2) and the 1797. I'll be taking the label off one and sticking it on a bottle of versinthe and selling it on ebay with a reasonable reserve shortly.....
