  1. Bon anniversaire! (I only missed it by one day...getting better at it!)
  2. Bon anniversaire! I wish I could be there to celebrate with you.
  3. Thanks to everyone for the birthday greetings. I spent my birthday week in the cold NW of Washington State hanging with my daughter and my friends. Glad to get back to the warmth of SoCal.
  4. Late to the party, again... Bon anniversaire!!! (Scorpios rock, by the way...)
  5. November 10 is Ray's actual birthday. He would have been 58. We spent his 56th in Vegas drinking and gambling and generally having a great time! Just for shits and grins, we asked how to get a marriage license in Vegas. (did you know the license bureau is open 24/7 except from midnight Sunday to 6am Monday? Crazy...) We faked several of you out with a photo of us in front of the wedding chapel. Good times. I am certain Ray is enjoying this tribute thread. Happy Birthday, Ray. Love, Molly
  6. Thanks for the tip. I will check out my local BevMo. Now, if they would just improve the selection of absinthe, things will be rosy...er, green.
  7. I'm planning on being in Seattle from the 13th to the 20th of November, probably.
  8. Bon anniversaire! HAPPY-HAPPY-JOY-JOY!!!! Love you much, M
  9. Raymond, good for you seeing the positive in your situation. Best of luck to you!
  10. Last night I made up a cocktail out of things I like and have on hand. It's probably been made before but it was new to me! 1 oz. Crème de Cassis 1/2 oz. absinthe 6 oz. tonic water Lots of ice. If it is not a known cocktail, I may try to give it a name.
  11. So sorry to hear about your break-in. I have never understood what makes some people think they have the right to anothers' property. I just ain't wired that way (and I am damn glad of it) Best of luck to you.
  12. Who needs a reserve of frozen veggies??? Screw it. I have a big bag of ice and booze in mine. Well, a little ice cream, too.
  13. Unless, of course, it is only served in itty-bitty glasses.
  14. Raymond, what we have here at the WS is a group of cocktail enthusiasts who celebrate the art and enjoyment of such beverage. Anything that has attached "-tini" to the end of its name (obviously) ruffles feathers. Don't feel bad. I used to think the same way but I have since been enlightened. HALLELUJAH! I have seen the light! Pass me the tambourine... If you haven't already, visit DrinkBoy's website and cruise around a bit. It's very informative. And yes, he does include cocktails with vodka.
  15. Yep. That Tim sure knows how to throw a party!
