That would be fun, but it would also expose my addiction.

Now opening humidor. Pulling out Montecristo #2.
DesertWolf
Almost seems like a waste to drink the CLB after all the other, will you really enjoy it as much as it should be? :P

Brooks; love whats up but how many will show up?
Brooks
Lemme tell you: you think 40 is a tall order? Buckle up for safety, cuz 50's a trip. I don't even want to think about 60. To quote the bard: "Wisdom bids fear."

Waiter, make mine a double.
Stroller
Brooks, we need to party, when will you be in LA?

Hope you don't get sea sick....

Are we setting sail on a homemade raft?

I occasionally book gigs in LA, although I haven't been out in a couple of years. Next time, though, you're on.

Hooooo-wee, no kidding, D-Wolf. A party to reckon with!
Brooks
I'd love to stay on for another hour, but it's 2:15 in Gotham, and I have a marathon day tomorrow.

Thank you all for a very enjoyable evening. GODSPEED.

Ha! Setting sail is just what I have in mind. A symmetrical spinnaker. I've got something cookin for the fall

Who on the board is comfortable with a 36ft sailboat & 32mile radar?

PM, me!
DesertWolf
What time of the year? & to Where?
Stroller
Late Summer, Fall. I'll get the Waypoints set. 6 max on the 36ft & 6 max on the 46ft.

Catalina islands. Sail out of Marina Del Rey.
DesertWolf
Well I use to do small cabin crusers on the Chesapeake bay and a 24' on the Gulf of Mexico, so as long as your not planning a sail to Hawaii I should be OK. But if there are amounts of absinthe to be consumed , I might want to stay a little closer to shore...

You guys are lightweights. We used to buy Ambroid by the quart.

Can't find the quarts any more.
Brooks
'Morning, Do-Bees. (Anyone old enough to remember what a Do-Bee is? Oh, forget it.)

Slacker:

A. THAT was a 40th birthday party.
B. You look 25. You might look 40 by the time you're 60 — the good news.
C. The bad news is, you're gonna wake up this morning feeling like 80.

Stroller, I haven't been on a sailboat since high school. Sounds great.
Stroller
Since high school!
Brooks
Yep. I bet the majority Americans have never been on a sailboat. You lead a charmed life.
Gertz
Have been ill this weekend. Tried to fight it with a night out in town with some friends, some whisky and some dark, strong beer friday. Didn't work, only gave me a hangover too.

Very quiet saturday, no drinking, just bottling of a batch of mead. Had a little taste of it - my senses were in a miserable state, but as far as I could tell, it was simple, but absolutely drinkable.

This morning, when I woke up, I suddenly - for no particular reason whatsoever, and before I read this thread - thougt of the line "Don't call me Shirley". Spooky.
Brooks
That IS spooky.

Sorry to hear you've been under the weather. Feel better soon!
plunger
I echo Brooks' sentiments, G. Sorry I wasn't a part of the fun on this thread last night. My pacing last night forced my to retire early. My definition of too much:

2 Magic Hat #9's
Stir fry
1 Clandestine
1 VS65
1 BdF(trying to empty the bottle)
1 more clandestine
a tipple of Maker's Mark
half a bottle of Sammy Smith Nut Brown Ale
couch

Enjoying my hangover while looking at the foot of snow that fell last night. Winter finally came to Virginia.
