Alrighty then, maybe Gleed?
Humptulips still gets the award for silliest Washington state names. Sorta makes you wonder what was the inspiration...

While I claim Atlanta as home (originally from Phoenix), I must say the oddest place I lived (as far as names go) was while I was in college: "Frog Level, Arkansas". Site of an old plantation house and for a brief period, the county seat.

"I killed em in CoooooooCamonga" I remember that line from a Loony Toons episode yes. Now we Cucamongians make fun of Fontana, because northern Fontana is doing the same thing, trying to become Rancho Fontana. What's next...Rancho Frog Level AK? I even heard there is going to be a Rancho Watts.

Dec 19 2005, 08:45 AM
You know that's funny. I used to live in Lancaster PA, just down the road from Intercourse. They could never keep town/street signs due to all the stealing. What I always found the most amusing was that, from Lancaster traveling east on rt 30, one had to go through both Blue Ball and Intercourse to get to Paradise.

That's hilarious. It reminds me of
this little town due west of Dayton, OH on SR35 named Eaton. It was common in the area to say one was so (drunk, stupid, confused, etc.) "He didn't know if he was Dayton a girl from Eaton or Eaton a girl from Dayton."

I'm trying to fugure out that "no speeding" sign. The little boy's shoulder is behind the girl, but his head is in front of hers. It it her that's saying "not so fast"?

Nice map! I'm on it too.
Name of the city is Örebro, in the province of Närke, Sweden. Looks like my position on the map is the northernmost (?). Lots of forests and wildlife to be found here... Cool wheather most of the year, though.
Should you ever come to visit Sweden, why not send me a note.
