Odd that. Just yesterday (I kid you not) I said to a co-worker: "Pardon me for masticating in public." She laughed. I hope later she looked the word up in the dictionary.

Some kind of rap music. From the neighbor kid next door. And my windows are closed.
They seem to think that the house they rent is too hot. So instead of turning down the thermostat, they open the windows.
We'll see how long this goes on. Maybe this belongs in
Ignorance Abounds....
Now I know why I'm supposed to have a stereo system. Then I could open my windows and play Peridot's
Twelve Days of Christmas over and over and over.

Let's see how long my patience lasts.

That's a mighty powerful incentive.
However the Town Property Taxes are due in 3 days time and that takes priority
right now.
But soon after that the bank account can start to grow again. Too bad the nearest "stereo store" is Walmart (gack!). I've been thinking for a while of getting some speakers for my iBook, turning it into a stereo. All my music in iTunes anyway. Probably wouldn't have the power needed for the task at hand.

You don't need Walmart......order online. If you can get beverages, you can get stereos too.

I missed it but may I just take this opportunity to say how cool and problematic iTunes is. It is way to easy to get music there. The other night I was watching 13 going on 30 (actually a pretty cute film) and I heard this Billy Joel song I did not recognize. That led me to think, "You know, I really like Billy Joel and yet I own none of his music." Yes, that is how I talk to myself. Anyway, the next day, a few minutes with iTunes and, problem solved with a custom collection.

Not important to most people and unrelated to everything is the fact that we live a mile from where Frank Herbert lived. Now I have to go away.

Here, in the hospital, you pee into a "pheasant". Which is a bit disconcerting since there's a Slovak beer called Golden Pheasant. Especially disconcerting because it's not that bad of a beer.
In Polish hospitals that thing is called a "duck"

Fortunately, we do not name beers so weirdly, yet Zlaty Bazant was, is and will be very much appreciated by Poles

Surprisingly, no. His dumbass kid found a box of those cookies in his attic and figured his father must have intended to include them in his work... so he turned it into another novel.
I realize that no one will know what the heck I am talking about. You see frank Herbert's son teamed up with this other guy and has been writing... never mind.

I also have a Dell 20 gig mp3 player. I use that for my workout and running music because it's more durable.
I recently bought a video Ipod, mainly because I like audiobooks, and my subscription to www.audible.com isn't compatible to the older generation Dells. I like them both for different reasons. The dell will last you a lot longer (mine is now over 6 years old). The Ipod has a lot more features, which are great, but the thing is a month old, and the black plastic is already showing scratches and splits in places, although I treat it with the utmost care.
