For nostalgic purposes I decided to return to my very first absinthe, Moulin Vert 68, from Alandia. It is actually quite tasty to me. A nice creamy mouth feel with a candy cane peppermint, wormwood, and anise flavor profile in that exact order. This may very well be a good absinthe to enjoy in the winter season maybe acompanied by a candy cane or chocolate covered peppermint stick.
Has anyone else tried the moulin vert? It is by no means a traditional absinthe of the belle epoque but it is tasty in its own right and the bottle is beautiful.

I had a few bottles of it when it was first produced, but not in a long time. Seems to me I remeber the anise flavor being very strong.

Hmm. Peppermint candy cane, you say? I have a sample of it. Perhaps I should give it away at Christmas.

It definatley reminds me of peppermint candies with wormwood and anise balancing it out enough to not make it taste too much like mouth was like another minty brand I know.
