Hi guys, I was just wondering what the difference between a jade and verte is, if any. I would assume it is
color related, but are there other criteria that are supposed to set them apart? I could find no info regarding this on the site.
Ignorance is not bliss...not in my world.

Jade is a brand/series. Verte is a color.

Can't add much more to that.

Yup, what Derrick said. The Jade absinthes are a brand/series that Ted Breaux makes. So far the Jade line contains the Eddy, PF 1901, Verte Suisse, and NO.
A verte is any absinthe that is green in color. The word "verte" being french for the word green.
So currently, all Jades are vertes, but not all vertes are Jades.

Thanks, I wasn't sure about that, as I've heard people refer to "Jades" on this forum. Glad to know.

It can be a colour with a lower case 'j' - a brand with an upper case.
A verte can be all kinds of poetic varieties of green.
