Is there a specific way to open St. George?? The cork is flush with the top of the bottle and it has some plastic piece on top as though I shouldnt use a cork screw.....
adamnsmith
I just pried the wax top off and used a corkscrew.
Ron
That's the same with the Jades. If you've got a t-cork, put one of those in afterward.
adamnsmith
Is that one of them things my girlfriend uses to re-cork wine??
Ron
Probably. You can get them at any brewing supply store in your area.

Ah, yes.. Mine doesnt look like that. It has a hinge thingy on top

Is that a La Clandestine t-cork?
My personal favorite is the Eichelberger cork. And it looks great on Jades too. wink.gif

Just what I was thinking! laugh.gif

By the way, CLB and Eich T-corks work fine in other bottles, but you can order a bag of your own for cheap too. That way you don't have to drain one bottle to cork another.

If drinking out of Absomphe-sized glasses I'd expect the "Why?" to be "Why would you have an opened bottle that wasn't empty?" twitchsmile.gif

I'm trying to remember the size of the plastic disc. Would an Ah-So opener be able to get around it?
