Me thinks its time for these people to revise their recipe!

I'm lost. What's the problem with the recipe? The use of Herbsaint?

pt447, that's more or less the traditional preparation except you wouldn't shake it, you'd stir it. That's called a "rinse"; just enough to coat the glass.

However, absinthe is not a liqueur and Herbsaint is not absinthe (yet).

I was refering to this:

"Coat the inside of a cocktail glass with the Herbsaint and pour out the excess."

Why would you waste perfeclty good absinthe, presuming you actually use absinthe?

That's the actual process. It should only be a rinse.

They just suggest you pour it out, they don't suggest what into. The sink or a funnel on top of your bottle is up to you.
