Full Version: Ever seen "Absinthe" in random daily events?

Hi all. I'm new to the board and semi-new to Absinthe; I am now enjoying Absinthe on a regular basis and was out for a walk yesterday evening (NB: while *not* under the influence of the green fairy) when I noticed this shadow and immediately saw an Absinthe spoon, cuillere. (Admittedly it also looks like a gravedigger shovel cool-reaper.gif , but I initially saw the Absinthe reference...) And, yes, that is my shadow in the photo. twitchsmile.gif

Apart from asking the obvious if anyone else sees the spoon, do you all sometimes "see" Absinthe in random, unrelated events? One of those things...

Sure, every once in a while. I can remember looking at the sea during a particularly grey, choppy afternoon. The color instantly reminded of a very old “dead leaf” absinthe.

Actually, I dream about it quite a lot. There’s been a recurring one about shopping at this random store that specializes just in absinthe. I’m pretty sure I’m in Switzerland in the dream.

Hmmmm. I see a School Crossing sign. Have you considered getting professional help?

Just kidding. wink.gif There are a number of monomanics here. The rest of us are just passionate enthusiasts.

I too, have dreamt about shopping in an absinthe specialty store scuto.

Absinthe haunts me daily. Its usually a scent upon the breeze that i smell time to time when i go places, or an image as well or even just a memory aroused by some unrelated event that makes me stop and think this makes me think of absinthe. Here is to happy haunts! abs-cheers.gif

I had a dream that I acquired some Delaware Pheonix absinthe once! There was a botle of it at the LCBO hidden behind some other things and when I got home and cracked it open and turned on the fountain the police busted in my door and confiscated it

I see a guy about to be whacked on the head with an extremely large shovel.

Would you have any recommendations regarding where I might seek said professional help? twitchsmile.gif

What Abs said about the guy getting whacked with a shovel.

Professional help turned me away years ago under the pretense that I was, and probably still am... "Incurable." twitchsmile.gif

m.a.'s lack of capital i's haunts me on an almost daily basis.

I understand, Baub. I'm a capitalization freak. Bugs the heck out of me when people don't use them properly. thumbdown.gif But I was an English teacher in another lifetime.

Poor spelling doesn't bother me because I didn't inherit the spelling gene.

Edit: Glad I got to post this before I needed to quote!

I go easy on the spelling for some reason.

That's the best kind of mistake! abs-cheers.gif

Main commonality between him and me I could think of: we both have weird usernames which are or are related to our electronic music pseudonym.

Come to think of it, I could have stopped after "usernames."

I can't say I see absinthe everywhere, unless you count randomly looking around and seeing sample bottles on my desk: some with liquid, some without. Speaking of, I should go make a glass.
