(Filmed in CA - Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios), set in Germany in 1932 - absinthe was available at that time.

Great movie, well worth watching. I was surprised to see the absinthe reference. Unlabeled bottle of absinthe.

Louisiana Flip:

* 1/2 oz Absinthe
* 1/2 oz Cointreau
* 2 tsp Lemon juice
* 1 Egg
* 1 tsp Sugar
* Nutmeg

I actually make it a bit different but I will definitely give your recipe a try.
Got the recipe from a bartender at a Las Vegas Strip Hotel and Downtown Las Vegas Hotel
Sounds great with the nutmeg!



Louisiana Flip
In a shaker with half filled of ice pour:
7/10 of white rum
1/10 of triple
2/10 of orange juice
Splash of grenadine
1 egg yolk.
Shake well and and pour in a flute.
