TAKEDA
My wife has been wanting to try absinthe since my first bottle arrived. She takes lexapro and is worried that all those herbs may clash with her medicine. Anyone know if absinthe doesn't mix to good with any perscriptions, cause she really wants to try it buts she leary.

abs-cheers.gif Studies show that LEXAPRO does not increase the cognitive and motor effects brought on by alcohol. However, alcohol may deepen depression. Therefore, the use of alcohol with patients taking LEXAPRO is not recommended.

Wray's right, the herbs aren't your issue. I'd guess that she'll probably have the same problems with drinking absinthe as she would any other spirit. I know people who take other SSRIs and do fine on moderate amounts of alcohol. Your wife may be different.

Best advice:check with your doctor.
