With 12 days 'til Christmas morn, I was hoping to see what everyone was plannin on, ahem, drinking for their celebrations. Anyone reserving a special bottle (or 3, or more, as is Joe's case) for the day/evening?

Happy Holidays WS!

Happy Holidays WS!

With my sons, their special girls and grandson arriving, a special bottle of anything would pale in comparison.
But, I see us sipping a little:
Remy Martin XO
Pernod fils 1910
Marteau
Pacifique
a bevy of Leopold liqueurs
a couple of other cognacs and armanacs
Rough Stock Montana Whiskey
Gin from England and Woodinville
and maybe a sip or two of Ridge prototype swill. <Yawn> Nothin' too special. wink.gif

Happy Holidays, indeed!

I have some 1992 Muller Catoir wine for sharing with my friend Wayne. Plus, I know there are a few bottles under the tree that will require acknowledgment.

I envision some 1900 Martell and maybe some vintage absinthe. Awe heck, who am I kidding? That will be the start. I'm sure a few bottles of CO absinthe and some wine and some beer will all be taken care of quite easily. abs-cheers.gif

Montmartre absinthe seemed to remind me of the Christmas seasonings.

As for me.......I'll have to get back to you.

I just hope whatever I drink, I'm sharing with good folks. *smile*

My grandparents and I were going though their liquor cabinet a few weeks back and found some bottles that were given to them by their friends from Besançon. Among them were a few cognacs, génépi, some eaux-de-vies (one raspberry, two marc and one prune) as well as a few liqueurs. Most of these were home made and all of them sitting there since before I was born. Could be a fun Christmas. abs-cheers.gif

I haven't tried it yet but based on the reviews, Jade Nouvelle-Orleans sounds appropriate. Christmas-y smell and flavor profile. If only it was less price prohibitive. Its Xmas and the economy sucks. I'm thinkin more in the 65 dollar range Jade Liquers.

LdF sells 20cl "flasks" of Jade N-O for the equivalent of about $25 and they seem to be exempt from the new US shipping policy affecting the 70cl Jades. Free shipping now through the 31st too!

Great way to get some for Xmas without breaking the bank.

This may not be the proper subject, however I was So pleased upon finding my account still here I'm thrilled. I must say to Hiram, I am most grafeful that he has been so longsuffering (not kickin' my butt out)about my absense. I have missed those of you I had gotten to know a little. I will be spending the evening with Lucid as it's the only bottle in the house aside from some very old B&B.

My best to you on this holiday season, Samantha

PS. I feel like I received an early gift finding my account still remains, thank you again. abs-cheers.gif heart2.gif

Christmas came a bit early as Attack Accountant took us out to dinner at one of our favorite eateries. It was a fine meal and better company. abs-cheers.gif

They have e-shopping to cure that. Unless of course you have a phobia of e-shopping, in which case you're kinda screwed.
