We get emails like the following on an almost daily basis, so I thought I'd start up this thread to publish some of them that arrive in the future. It really does help to remind us how important education is.

Thank you for cutting through the noise.

I have been searching for what I thought was genuine Absinthe for years, ever since I tried it in Italy a few years ago. I almost paid an insanely high amount for Imported High Thujone Absinthe, with astronomical shipping, thinking it was the end of my search.
I ran across your website researching the company I was about to order from, and spent the next hour or so reading your site. It explained everything from the thujone hype to the additional feelings that are felt while drinking absinthe and the reasons behind it. Your site explained everything! (I should have known about all the hype, I am a psych major... Haha)
But I just wanted to throughly thank you for saving something that is almost sacred and so mystical from being completely commercialized by hype. You saved me wasted money and time, and now drinkupny.com has another customer.

Thank you again, and keep up the amazing job! - MK

Fantastic. I like the idea of seeing these emails. It lets us know that this site really is as valuable as us members think it is. Can't wait to read more!

Didn't someone say that if you think it's kinky sex, then you are not doing it correctly?

It's the other way round, Alan. Great sex can make even the missionary position feel kinky.

True that. Great idea Brian! Thanks for sharing, it's things like that that serve as nice boosters and remind us of the importance of the Wormwood Society.

So, to follow up on the original post, we certainly do get some good emails.

Then we also get emails like this:

QUOTE
HiI'm in USA and I have a few questions. I hope very much you can help me out. I like to buy GIFTS on the holidays and I need someone who knows about Absinthe to help me out
Can you tell me which absinthe has the highest Alcohol content? Can you tell me which absinthe has the highest wormwood or thujone content?
Is their any absinthe out their that has a 'different' effect or hallucinating effect? I know I had one absinthe drink I mixed with a hot toddy recipe and I actually seemed stoned for aobut 15 seconds so that was quite interesting experience
Can you please recommend me the best "tasting" Absinthe? And most importantly, if I were to buy 2 Absinthe in my own personal collection... which 2 absinthe would you recommend? I hope you can help me out. I know its personal question but please let me know. Also if you can't answer the question please guide me to sources online that maybe can answer them

Thanks
censor1.gif
P.S. If you know where I can buy them online toship to USA please also let me know

My response was a suggestion that he read up on the main site as his purchasing criteria were 'a bit' misguided'...

I get mis-guided and mis-understood info from liquor store employees and owners plus restaurant employees and owners. Ron and I had a bit of frustration with a restaurant owner a couple weeks ago. We were fairly disappointed. Like yourself, it gets frustrating.

The cards have been some help versus a guy walking in off the street talking his own line of who knows what. I think it lends a bit of.......identity or knowledge. <shrug>

All we can do is direct and inform.

I'm still waiting for all the flashbacks that were promised me during the late 60's and early 70's. wink.gif
Those vendors are hard to locate now.

Besides if you want to get high.......watch the birth of your child or grandchild. That, my friends, can not be beat. It lasts a very long time and you can go to work with it.

Thanks for doing the emails Brian and whoever else may be getting them. thumbup.gif
