Also folks may want to consider Binny's out of Chicago and Astor out of New York for shipping .

If you don't like anise at all, you're not likely to care for any decent absinthe, as absinthe is an anise flavored drink. It's kind of like asking if there are any good beers that don't taste like hops or malt.----Hiram

So long as one doesn't live in a control state, those are probably great suggestions! I've never been able to use them, of course, but at least I've had other solid options.

It is available in Portland....

Sadly, not in my locale. I have requested Pacifique from the local OLCC shop, but have received no cooperation. For the time and cost of driving, parking, etc. to get to a store that stocks Pacifique, it is cheaper, simpler, and easier to order from DUNY and have it delivered to my door.

Just had some fun with my local liquor store owner, as Marc knows I have been working hard at getting Pacifique here to Ct. and not only did he confirm with the distributor, my case (12 bottles) but bought another 12 for his store because of my enthusiasm. So yesterday I went to his store for visit and he shows me a bottle of Duplais Blanche, I never had it, but worth the try. The store owner has only had either Czechsinthe or crapsinthe. Well because we liked the Duplais so much and he has never had either the Pacifique or Duplais, we went to the store and told the owner that I was returning the unused portion of the Duplais. He looked very disappointed, and then I told him that we are having a small tasting there of both bottles. He was very happy. So now he will be bringing in better Absinthe and glassware and start displaying it in the front of the store. But alas we all have to wait for Opici's delivery so they can start distributing Pacifique again, date 5/28/10.
By the way the store is "The Grog Shop" in Torrington Ct. abs-cheers.gif

You mean displaying a sign for it in the storefront, and not the actual bottles, right?

Of course not in the window. The display will be along with the artisanal wines and some of the other fine small batch distilled liquors/ liqueurs, along with glassware set up to help start conversations . Not along with the stuff that gets made by the tanker car full. dazed-cheers.gif

Ahh. Just wanted to make sure the sunlight wasn't going to be beating up a bunch of good absinthe. Sounds like that won't be the case.

Cool. Thanks Rob. Since you are such a salesman, how about getting them to stock Voyager Gin? dev-1.gif
